oh right, this exists

I think a 2.5 month break is an appropriate amount of time between posts. I like to keep people missing me. That's the only way my self-esteem can kick into gear. Things that you've missed out on?

After my closet shattered into a million little pieces (c. James Frey), I decided to lighten the load and donate some clothes. Good samaritan brownie points heading my way. Because I'm sure homeless girls are desperately in need of chiffon blouses and "interview" vests. The guy who rebuilt my new closet said, "it's so strong you can hang yourself on it".  Comforting.

I started drinking on the job.

God bless a noodle place that sells a vegetarian option! I had no idea how difficult it was to find a veg ramen. Only those 49 cent packets from Ralphs takes me into consideration. But alas, it has been found and conquered, despite record-breaking heat and humidity in Los Angeles.  Nobody can keep me away from my noodle soup.

I have a lot of respect for Katy Perry now.

I started dressing like this.  Well technically I started laying clothes out on the floor and drawing imaginary bodies in photoshop when I get bored.

Things that are fun and make you look cool/hip, while simultaneously ruining your hair. I did it!
And I will do it again.

A weekend of productivity? Check.

Check. I had seen this DIY necklace on pinterest a couple months ago and immediately knew I'd be trying it.  Or at least, I'd buy the "ingredients" and let them sit in my closet until I needed to spring clean, and then I'd find it and be like "what the hell is this for?" and throw it away. If we're trying to be honest and accurate... The first few times to the craft store was sort of a huge bust since none of them carried these pendants. Cut to a month later and finding EVERYTHING I needed on accident. Cut to me ACTUALLY making it one night because it was seriously painless and quick. How much can I sell them for? What??

Part 2 should mostly be attributed to Dara. She did the dirty work...quite literally with all the dirt and paint. Since we're in the process of putting together a tiny, but adorable, patio--planting some herbs and flowers seemed like the easiest way to spruce up our bitty space. Also, we've been growing those $1 plants from target and they started blooming uncontrollably for the small pot they were in. The only credit I can take here, is taping off the pots so she could spray paint them. You're not allowed to look at them close-up though or you'd see why I might pass that credit on to a 4 year old.

no pants wednesdays

It's been awhile, and in that while I have reverted to my old shopping-frenzied self. I'm not proud. Maybe a little proud...but only for the sale items! I had a disturbing meltdown a few days ago when I thought I had misplaced my favorite pair of jeans (and while we're being honest, one of the only 3 pairs of jeans I own). Scoured the apartment, my car, anywhere they could possibly me. Nothing. Meltdown. These are $45 jeans from American Eagle that don't even fit me that well anymore because I've forgotten the meanings of words like "gym" and "self control over food", but it felt sorta life shattering. I'm unexplainable. This past wednesday (about a week after the on-start of said denimgate) I was at my dance class and decided to ask if anyone had found them. LO AND BEHOLD, there they were crinkled into a drawer...along with my belt...and a pair of shorts...with another belt...and a sports bra. What the fuck, I left ALL my shit here. Much relief passed through my body until one thing settle upon me--how did I get home without pants?
