what happens in vegas, goes in this blog

The prodigal blogger has returned and is finally in a decent head-space to update this pickle. Here we are, unaware of what was in store. Blissfully, blissfully unaware. Despite a turbulent flight and Mrs. Cray Cray Bojangles in the seat ahead of us (she was BONKERSVILLE and I'm pretty sure that whatever higher power is in charge of airplanes landing safely, was seriously weighing his options on this one) the sunlight portion of our day was pretty nice. McDonalds fries for breakfast is usually a good sign for what's to come.

CUE: SUNDOWN...

...and the arrival of my ass. Where did that come from? Here we are. The ladies of the night (a few missing)...and probably the last time we were all seen together as a group. After a $50 cover fee and a memorial day smorgasbord of people inside the club, this group quickly became a group of 9 and a group of 3. Carla and I were the group of 3. The group of 3 without a hotel key. The group of 3 who were the terribly sober. The group of 3 who consistently checked their cell phones in attempts to contact someone in the group of 9 to let us go to sleep. The group of 3 who became the group of 2 around 4am when we were shaking from exhaustion. The group of 2 who were propositioned by an older man to sleep in his room (and the group of 2 who were almost desperate enough to take him up on said offer. Seriously. I took his number just in case.). Luckily we didn't have to, bed by 6am.

VEGAS DAY 2

We got one of these to make up for the non-drinking the night before. It was delicious and purple. Carla and I had a late flight home so we had a pretty wonderful sunday, shopping and freezing are bums off. I looked everywhere trying to buy a cheap hoodie or cheap yoga pants and ended up with this shirt and a scalding cup of tea. I've found that warm things do not exist in desert climates. What does exist? Winds of 50mph. Also, there are fountains. Wind + fountains = wet bodies. This is no desert. It was a tundra. A frozen, leg hair inducing tundra. Alcohol kept me warm. Also, we may have cuddled a little.

HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN JIGGITY JIG
Which brings us to yesterday. Home, fully rested and ready to celebrate memorial day in my finest attire with some fine friends. It was also warm in case you were wondering. A+.

Still trying to figure this blog out.  Taking it from training bra to full-blown underwire. For now, enjoy my vanity and my intermittent attempts at cooking very very basic meals. Perhaps a cereal recipe or 2?
