Last night was the Great Home Depot Disaster of 2011. Home Depotgate, if you will. I can't go into details and promise not to break down into tears at the same time. Let me borrow from the conversation I had with a friend this morning (who, let me be clear, had no sympathy for me...and was probably laughing). I've also kept him anonymous in case he's ashamed of this friendship.
D: you all better from your home depot run?
M: i've never felt like more of a girl in my entire life. And NOBODY spoke even the slightest hint of english or had the ability of vision, apparently
M: because i went in with pictures of exactly what i needed and still nobody could help me
M: and then i asked someone for spackle and he said "aisle 28"
M: aisle 28 is refrigerators...in case you ever need THAT information
D: hahaha
M: anyway it was awful and i was there for 2 hours
D: i think he meant 2 or 8
M: no he said 28
M: because he also said veintiocho.
M: eventually i just did it on my own and went up and down every single aisle until i found most of what i needed
M: then i bought candy
